30 Milestones that Changed the Face of Strokes & Slants

  1. Interviewed by Patrice Gaines of The Washington Post – by fate landed on the front page (Above the fold) when the lead story fell flat. (1999)
  2. The main consultant for National Geographic television “Hunting the Anthrax Killer” aired in 2009, nationally and internationally.
  3. Unraveling the “Stone Crusher Drug Gang” case in 2012. It became the lead story in our national paper in Jamaica, titled “Fraud buster”.
  4. Received the Trailblazer Award in 2001, for being the only woman of color, qualified and practicing in both areas of handwriting analysis. Flori Roberts  created  my own make-up  line entitled  “Benevolence Bronze” for a special two year distribution.
  5. Writing a handwriting book for five years and then receiving a two-book deal with Random House. “Finding Mr. Write” became an international best seller after my  appearance on ABC “Good Morning America” with Diane Sawyers.
  6. A D.C. lawyer was awarded $4.5 million when I was able to authenticate an 18th century collection signed and written by the Explorer Sir Alfred Wallace. He sold the collection to the Smithsonian Institute.
  7. Sir Coxsone Dodd, Jamaica’s music producer whose catalogue is bigger than the Beatles, Will & Testament case in 2010 in favor of my client – his son.
  8. Providing services for Queen Elizabeth Foundation for Disabled People in the UK.
  9. Trinidad and Tobago Guardian Life Insurance case awarded in favor of my client – 2009 without testifying.
  10. The release of my debut historical Novel, “Reaper of Souls” on the 50th anniversary of the Kendal Train crash in Jamaica (2007). Recreating a personal story about my father losing 14 members of his family at Kendal.
  11. Selected to read at the Calabash International Literary Festival twice in 2008 and again in 2014.  Opened the festival before an audience of 1,000 people before Salman Rushdie and Jamaica Kincaid.  Was selected by Essence magazine as one of 2014 Caribbean Writers.
  12. Designed and completed an 18 month inaugural training course in Questioned Document Examination for the Technical Division of the Jamaican Constabulary Force.
  13. Hosted three radio shows on RJR with a growing audience of over 60,000 listeners.
  14. Expanding my services in other Caribbean islands: Turks and Ciaos, Bahamas, St Thomas, Antigua, St Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands.
  15. Receiving writing fellowships from Virginia Center for the Creative Arts ( VCCA) to complete Bat Mitzvah Girl in 2011 and a fellowship from Calabash International Literary Festival in 2004 to complete : “Reaper of Souls.”
  16. Created from ground zero the popular  “Writefully Yours Career “ column published in the Gleaner for  over 8 years with a readership of over a million.
  17. Creating a “Writefully Yours Seminar Series” offering ‘sold out’ seminars to young professionals.
  18. Creating a popular “Reading Your Writes” column for ten years in the Sunday Herald, analyzing the famous, the infamous and the unusual suspects.
  19. The “Go to Person” for the US media on major landmark cases like Jon Benet Ramsey, the DC Sniper, Monica Lewinsky and the Anthrax Letters. Analyzed for The Washington Post, signatures of historical figures such as Fredrick Douglass, Jacqueline Kennedy and more for the display for the National Archives exhibit.
  20. Retained by a large corporation in Brazil for three years to analyze documents, all written in Portuguese.
  21. Interviewed by the legendary Isaac Hayes.
  22. Successful with my first case in DC State Court in 1992, in the UK in 2001 and in JA in 2006.
  23. Worked with Mont Blanc.
  24. Interviewed about my work at the Royal Festival Hall London – for International Women’s Week “In celebration of my sisters” UK and other Empowerment agent including: The African American Women on Tour (US) and Girls Gals and Gurus.
  25. Spoke at the House of Commons – “Women Mean Business” Conference on the invitation from Diane Abbott MP.
  26. Invited to the White House under three Presidents: President George Bush, President Clinton and President Obama.
  27. Completed the Expert Witness with Bond Solon in the UK (add more).
  28. Featured in a documentary with the Smithsonian Channel.
  29. Maintaining Offices in the heart of New Kingston, Jamaica; Washington D.C. and The Thames, London England.
  30. Completion of fourth book – Whose Signature is it anyway? Complexities of Caribbean Fraud. Available summer 2022 on Amazon.
